  • Motivation

  • Strengths & interests

  • Personality & attributes

  • Sources of meaning & fulfilment

  • Personally meaningful habits & goals

Description

Most of us would not behave in the ways that we do unless we had a reason to do so, and most of us find it hard to put effort into something consistently if we don't know 'why' it is worth our time.

This focus area shares characteristics with life coaching, considering the science of motivation and meaning, as well as differences in personality & values. This focus area explores what you care about, i.e., your 'values' and 'why' you do what you do, which is inextricably linked to your motivation

Our 'why' provides the needed confidence, momentum & direction to overcome challenges, and consistently move toward our goals.

It is important to identify our core values and play to our strengths, so that we may develop habits, goals and successes in alignment with what we find deeply rewarding.

Rise acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people as the traditional owners of the lands on which we live, and that sovereignty was never ceded. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and extend our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people from all nations of this land.
